I am looking for car auctions in LA area, I am not a dealer. Also does anyone know how hard it is to get a dealer license? is it cheap & easy? I'm looking to buy cars @ auctions, turn around and sell them on the street. Does anyone have any advice? Like a cheap way to do it, I heard that If i buy & sell w/in two weeks. I do not have to pay for smog, registration or any of that. Can some one give me advice if u have it.

The only way you'll get good deals on the cars is at the dealer auctions, not the public auctions. It's fairly easy to get a dealer license, but there are certain requirements that need to be met. Not sure what these are in your state. What you'll probably want is a "wholesale" license so you don't have to have a physical building and all that stuff.
