This new alternative to Ebay and Craigslist has been quite an undertaking. At the beginning Joel Saucedo and the Big Ticket Depot Team were building a platform that would allow myself and other Affiliates the ability to help people sell their big ticket items, such as cars, boats, houses or anything that has a high price tag. That in itself would have been unique to the industry. 
But as fate would have it, another opportunity arose, with Big Ticket Depot acquiring software that would allow them to incorporate an auction site, along side of the big ticket item side. The new auction site, Big Value Depot, has debuted and is running great. The Big Ticket Depot site will be opening the week of 4/13-4/19.
You can imagine the logistics problem that occured when they decided to add the auction component. The programmers and everyone else on the team have been working very long hours to get both of these platforms working. Rather than start with problems they are diligently working to have the platform as error free as possible. Even though we have had to wait that is a good thing. The wait has paid off as Big Value Depot is alive and well. You can go there and register for free and start listing your items. Your first item may be listed for a month free if I have vouchers left.
**EBAY Powerseller Approval**
This past weekend we had the pleasure of bringing in a very experienced EBAY Powerseller to test the entire BVD system. This person sells literally hundreds of items at a time on EBay on a regular basis. He came back with 2 thumbs up and was impressed with the simplicity of the entire system. He noted that BVD and BTD will surely be a hot topic of interest amongst the community of EBay sellers once the word starts getting out.
What does this all mean for you?
First of all, let’s talk about the person that just wants to sell items on the internet. You will be able to do that either through Big Value Depot or if it is a more expensive item you w
ill probably want to use Big Ticket Depot. The Big Value Site has flat fees at the beginning so you do not have to pay extra fees when an item is sold. You will also be able to use pictures of course, but I have heard that you can use video, too. This site will have a glossy magazine style so that your items will look their best. I plan to do searches once a week for buyers of the items that are listed. Big Ticket Depot will be doing a lot of advertising to make their name a household one. Is there an Affiliate Opportunity with Big Ticket Depot?
Yes, there is. For a $99 setup fee and a $39 monthly maintenance fee you can be your own Ad Broker. You will earn when a client advertises through your links and that will be 50% of their ad cost. You can also earn income when you bring another ad broker on board. Right now it is $75, but that will be lowered once the sites are up and running. When we first came on board the company said that the number of Ad Brokers would be limited to 5000. I don’t know if that is locked in stone but I would not take the chance of losing out.
When you sign up as an ad broker you will receive 100 vouchers for a free one month ad that you can dispense as you see fit. When you stay current on your monthly maintenance fee you will receive 25 vouchers each month. This will be very helpful in getting clients to place their ads with you.
